I did annual memberships for a few years & then finally decided to go all in for life membership.Got the magazines for a good while & then they stopped.
Emails stopped, forums stopped, everything from NAFC stopped. This is what I found via Wikipedia, which isn't the end all be all of info, but seems to be accurate in this case. I do remember getting emails about Scout.com, but then those stopped too. "Scout Media, formerly The North American Outdoor Group and the North American Membership Group (NAMG), was an American media company, specializing in membership clubs and related magazines.
Since 2007 it has been owned by the Pilot Group, a private equity firm run by Robert W.
Pittman. In 2013, NAMG acquired Scout.com. NAMG combined with Scout.com to form Scout Media.Pilot Group lost control of Scout Media to a group of Russian investors. Scout Media filed for bankruptcy in 2016; it was acquired by CBS Sports Digital in 2017. Review about: North American Fishing Club Membership.
Reason of review: Seems the company is out of business or bought out.
Monetary Loss: $300.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
I liked: Magazine while it was printed.
I didn't like: Absolute lack of communication when they were taken over.
