North American fishing club is a rip off I keep getting letters by mail saying I need to pay before 04/22/14 and last time I checked I'd send more money then what I needed to ?

A while back I signed up to be a member of the fishing club and after getting free things I started getting "fishing books" that I didn't order n each book cost over $30 dollars...... I was shocked because each time I send a payment I was receiving more and more books so what I did was called the north American fishing club and asked if they can help me with my payments because I was sending too much money after I asked for that I told them that I needed them to cancel my card because I was tired of all this bull***.

This club sucks and it's a rip off. Along with everyone else I paid for the lifetime membership and haven't got to field test anything. All they want to do is try and sell me crapy knives. Been a lifetime member scince August 08.

Selling membership

I bought a life time membership in this club with the understanding that I would get to test equipment and get to kept it afterword. I have never got any and they are still selling memberships with the same old bull s... I don't have 100 words to say about this club without getting real nasty. they also send stuff you think it is for you to test and then they send you a bill. I told them to stop sending stuff to me and they kept on sending things and then sending a bill some thing I would have liked but the price was a lot higher than what I would have paid buying it my self.

They backed off But I still never got anything from this wonderful fishing club to this day. I hope you have a better result than I did.

I agree completely, and it is even worse now that Scout and StuffStuff are involved.

I have been a lifetime member since 2001 to both NAFC and NAHC.

I have received some fishing line and addrress labels.

I will NEVER recommend any of these "clubs" that are associated with Scout to anyone.

Waste of money, nothing but a heartache for hobbies that are under enough attack.

Same here they keep wanting me to upgrade. Never got anything of value to field test, just *** they're a waste of time and money.

I received your membership kit and I went to the website to findout how the get my FREE gifts and was disappointed to find that the website did'nt work.

I do not have internet at home so I go to the library to get on the internet. I do not go there very much because I work 3rd shift. My membership offer I received offered me all three of the free gifts. I did not know I had to get on the internet to receive them. Then I find out that I have go on line to get them. I went to the library and got on line only to find out that the website did no work. I would not have sent back the membership offer response card if I had known that I had to get them from getting on the web to receive them and to become a member

All of these "American Whatever Club" does this. They TELL you that you'll be sent products to test, write your experience with the product and send it in.

BUT, they won't send another product except with ANOTHER BOOK!! They didn't tell us THAT now did they?! NOPE IT AIN'T written like that in their ad for the club, not written up as a "you don't get to test anything UNLESS YOU ACCEPT ANOTHER BOOK TO REVIEW"!!

So, I'm a big Bass fisherman and will purchase the first book, use the rattling lure. THEN I'll rig up a white grub that the book tells you that Bass LOVE grubs!

And according to the book you don't need any other lure to catch Bass! So I guess I don't need to purchase any more lures for Bass!!

Thanks North American Fishing Club!! You and your book will save me a lot of money!!

North American Fishing Club Scam

I was also contacted by a collection agency,Retrieval Masters Creditors Bureau, regarding a bill I had supposedly incurred with the North American Fishing Club. I responded by mail to them, the collection agency, telling them I had never received the products I was being charged for. I stated in my letter that I would be submitting a copy of my letter, as well as all RMCB correspondence, to the Attorney Generals office of the state I live in. RCMB responded to the Attorney Generals office one month later that the dispute was closed and no further action would be taken by them. Case closed.

I just contacted the club once again, when I joined was told I would receive the Weigh n Fillet set I didn't, instead I received a book and with it said start your Library and when I pay for the second book I will get a Weigh n Fillet set free! I called told them I didn't want the Library and I was suppose to get the set for joining, oh we'll send it, never came.

called again, oh must have crossed wires we'll resend. Today I get a bill for $25. I called telling her I never Received anything yet you want more money!

she said I was being ugly, I told her she must not be a member and they aren't taking her money, now I'm waiting for my reinburstment, hmm how long she said 4-6 weeks I marked my calendar I have the number and the promises next I report them. Gary Wilcox

North American Fishing Club is a SCAM

October of 2012 i started a membership with NAFC,(i paid for one year) i WAS TOLD I WOULD GET THE FREE GIFTS SOON, and the printed magazine in December. I got the free stuff in late October witch, had to be replaced do to damage, they were replaced. The end of December came and still no magazine but, i did get a bill saying i owed them more money. I called and complained, they said it would be handled, this also happened in Feb. 2013, March 2013, and April 2013 when i finally canceled the membership. I told the suposed manager that i Felt NAFC was a scam because i never got the Magazine, i was strung along severall times about the magazine and, i warned the person i talked to that if i recieved and communications from them at any point in the future i would go to the FCC(Federal Communications Commission) They have since then sent applications for renewal in may 2013. I went to the FCC and, so far in July 2013 I have not recieved any thing else from them. When i cancelled the membership i did get my money back also. I still think they are a scam. If they are not a scam it is at best the most disorganized bunch of *** i have ever come acrossed.

Join The Bass College. It's free and they will give you more advice then you can ever imagine.

There is no magazine but hundreds of video's, if you buy tackle from certain shops spend a certain amount send in your receiptes they give free baits.

They have done raffles I put in $20 and won a $200 irod. Check the site out click on your state and look at all the info and you will never look back.

In the fall (october) of 2012 i tried started a membership with NAFC, i was told i would have a printed magazine by December. By the end of October i got a cheap plastic scale and knives that were damaged in shipping.

I made a phone call and they replaced them, the scale went into the trash and the knives still have a curve to the blade.

The end of december comes and no magazine. I called them and they told me it would be February, Feb. came and still no magazine. I called again, now they say April, I wait, still to no avail.

This time I called them, cancelled the membership saying i didn't care to be a part of anything that disorganized. I do think NAFC is a scam and i would discourage anyone from becoming a member.

Goto In-fishermen instead, much better, well organized real membership. Greg from Minneapolis MN.

Reported to a collection agency for a membership I never agreed to.

The North American Fishing Club decided I was a member and subsequently turned me in to a collection agency for not paying. Other than a sticker, I never received anything for this company. I requested information about the membership but found it wasn't worth the asking price and the "free" gifts were a sham. Six months later, RMCB sent me a letter stating that they were collectng a debt for a membership that I never agreed to. Both companies have automated phone systems with no live representatives which speaks volumes to the level of customer service they are willing to provide to defend the legitimacy of their respective businesses. As a consumer, I have a credit score in the mid to high 700s and am apalled that this may be threatened by two companies that can't even answer a phone call.

I just got this in the mail. Thanks for letting the public know its a scam. It already contains your full name (I have no idea how they got it) so you can't give them a fake name.

John N Mzy

I always use a nom de plume when subscribing to magazines or outfits like this one. Saves alot of hassle if something goes wrong.

The post office will deliver mail for fictitious people to your address with no problem. They go by address, not names.

North American Fishing Club Is Scamming Me For A Lifetime Membership

When I came home today, I received a letter from RMCB Collection Agency for a membership that I supposedly signed up for in 2009, which I was laid-off for the entire year and the next. I never signed or asked for this lifetime membership. My credit score is not the greatest but come on. Three years and this is the first I am hearing of it, I don't think so. I can't believe that they are allowed to do this and there will be people that feel they must pay it. ***. My letter states that if I pay the $273, Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau will inform North American Fishing Club of my payment and they will reinstate my fantastic, totally worth $273, lifetime membership and I may even get the free gifts I have coming to me. What the F____!!!!! This has got to be a joke.

Your letter that was sent to me said that i had 3 free gifts coming and a membership. It also stated that i could cancel my membership at anytime nor would i have to return anything.

I got a letter saying that i MUST pay for the 2 year membership when you said i could pay a dollar a month in the first letter. I got the FREE gifts, thought they were cool and i received my membership card, but i don't want to be a member and now you are saying i must pay

I got scammed by North American Fishing Club

Like so many others, I keep getting bills from these people for a magazine I did not sign up for. BEWARE, if you give them your info they will use scare tactics to get you to pay for a magazine that you dont want. I suggest contacting their advertisers and complaining to them. That will get their attention. Again do not give them you information. They will persist in sending you warnings and I expect from what I have read, that they will contact the credit agencies to report us all for not paying the bill. It is only a matter of time before they are gone but they will intimidate some folks into paying for something they clearly didnt purchase.

Billed and sent to collections for club I didn't join

I received a bill some time ago for a fishing club I did not join. They stated if I paid 24 I could receive a 2 year membership and free items and monthly magazines. I did not respond because I did not want them and never joined this club to begin with. I received several more notices to pay so I could receive the magazines. Now they have sent me to collections and they are saying the already sent me free gifts and magazines. I never received anything from them, no magazines and no free gifts! What a rip off and very fraudulent I have many other complaints about this company on this board and several other ones. I will be calling the collection agency to file a dispute about this and will consult a lawyer if need be. It is only 24 dollars they want out of me but it is the principle of the thing that makes me refuse to pay for something I did not join, order or ever receive any merchandise from!
